Mission statement

Our mission statement

Promoting the use of GIS and providing mapping services and information management for humanitarian organizations with special focus on Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons.

Our Objective is to enable organizations as well as local governments to manage existing data; their own as well as integrating data from other available sources, and use it as baseline to plan their interventions and monitor their progress and impact. Thus, capacity building is one of the key elements in a CartONG field based project to ensure sustainability.

We also strive to integrate local communities in our field work to make certain that the beneficiaries are involved and understand the process. After all, with our work we want to contribute to improving their situation and livelihoods.
