Meet up every second Wednesday of the month, from 6pm to 8pm!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-coopi-button\"><a class=\"wp-coopi-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/framaforms.org\/inscription-aperos-benevoles-en-ligne-2023-2024-1691405993\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sign up for a CartoTalk<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-coopi-column\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The mapathons<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>I sign up for an online mapathon (a participatory and humanitarian mapping workshop on OpenStreetMap) to support the <a href=\"https:\/\/missingmaps.org\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/missingmaps.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Missing Maps<\/a> project. The idea is to support a local or Humanitarian Aid and International Development organization in carrying out one of its projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-coopi-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cartong.org\/app\/uploads\/2024\/03\/Benevolat_large_site.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2666\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>I offer my help<\/strong> by replying to the announcements of missions to be filled in the monthly <a href=\"https:\/\/subscribepage.io\/CNmLVy\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/subscribepage.io\/CNmLVy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">newsletter &#8220;volunteer projects&#8221;<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If I feel the need, <strong>I can reinforce my skills<\/strong> during the technical training courses that CartONG gives every autumn. To take part, I become a member of the association and sign up when I see the advert in the &#8220;volunteer projects&#8221; newsletter.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>I sign up as an e-volunteer<\/strong> for a project that requires a few hours a week, over a period of several weeks or months. However, we encourage all volunteers to become members of the association as well, so that they can participate in CartONG&#8217;s internal decision-making processes &#8211; via the Annual General Meeting &#8211; and take part in our Get-Togethers and benefit from our internal training courses.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-coopi-accordion\"><span class=\"wp-block-coopi-accordion__title\" title=\"displayTitle\">Do I need to speak French to become a volunteer?<\/span>\n<p>You don&#8217;t need to speak French to become a CartONG volunteer. However, most of our communications with volunteers (newsletters, CartoTalk, mapathons, etc.) are in French. So it will be easier for you to get involved in our community if you understand a minimum of French.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-coopi-accordion\"><span class=\"wp-block-coopi-accordion__title\" title=\"displayTitle\">I&#8217;d like to support CartONG but I don&#8217;t have a lot of time. What can I do?<\/span>\n<p>We offer a variety of activities, so you can find the level of commitment that suits you.
