{"id":3443,"date":"2026-03-09T19:47:43","date_gmt":"2026-03-09T18:47:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cartong.org\/en\/?post_type=project&#038;p=3443"},"modified":"2026-03-09T19:47:43","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T18:47:43","slug":"study-on-the-impact-of-budget-cuts-on-development-aid","status":"publish","type":"project","link":"https:\/\/www.cartong.org\/en\/projet\/study-on-the-impact-of-budget-cuts-on-development-aid\/","title":{"rendered":"Study on the impact of budget cuts on Development Aid"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In response to the successive reductions in Official Development Assistance (ODA) since 2023, Coordination SUD commissioned CartONG to precisely document the impacts of these budget cuts on French international solidarity organizations, their operations, their projects, and their beneficiaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The study aimed to analyze the effects of recent ODA budget cuts on a representative sample of 62 French NGOs, in order to produce a national estimate of these impacts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It sought to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Document operational impacts (projects reduced, suspended, or halted),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Measure the human consequences (jobs lost, affected partners),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assess the effects on beneficiary populations,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Alert public decision-makers in the context of the 2026 budget debate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-coopi-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1410\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cartong.org\/app\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2026\/03\/Dashboard-CSUD.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3444\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key findings of the study<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The study highlights the massive and systemic impact of budget cuts on French international solidarity efforts.
