GeOnG, The Humanitarian Forum on Geographic Information for Relief and Development aims to gather key-actors and organizations from the humanitarian field, as well as involved institutions from the private sector and academic sphere to discuss upcoming and ongoing questions regarding geographic information and its use in humanitarian and development projects. In 2014, we welcomed more than 160 participants and 70 different organizations. This year, the GeOnG takes a look back and evaluates the impact of new technologies and the evolution of the Humanitarian sector regarding information management.
For this 3-day edition, we will have a dynamic programme ranging from experts' panel to trainings, presentations and different spaces to exchange ideas. Furthermore, GeOnG 2016 will celebrate the 10th anniversary of CartONG; an opportunity to look back to the projects and the growth of a innovative NGO.
