DISCOVER A FIRST VERSION OF THE AGENDA!
|
|
Join this new edition of the forum whose main - ambitious - theme is: "Do no harm" in the era of environmental emergency: revisiting information management in the aid sector.
We will explore how humanitarian and development actors can be part of the solution by exposing and responding to the environmental crisis and its impacts, and how we can concretely re-think our approach of information management to adapt to the environmental emergency.
Below you will find a preview of the agenda. The full agenda will be announced in September! For those wishing to participate remotely, we invite you to refer to this page to learn more about the online program.
|
|
Here are the 9 roundtables that are planned for this year's edition:
- Becoming more “sober” with IM tools and approaches: the avenues to explore for aid actors
- Do the benefits of emerging technologies truly outweigh the associated long-term social, human and environmental risks?
- Are digital systems and participation compatible?
- Towards better Information Management: collaboration in practice
- Success stories of satellite imagery used to reveal or respond to the environmental crisis.
- How can we go the extra mile to ensure IM systems designed to alert on the environmental crisis actually play their role?
- Collecting and visualizing environmental data: opportunities & challenges
- What are the ways to build resilience into IM systems and technology?
- What is the Ukraine situation teaching us about our data practices?
