Dear all,
We are very happy to share with you this first newsletter after the end of the 2022 GeOnG Forum on Wednesday. We hope that those of you who attended had a great time and that you found the sessions stimulating and engaging.
You’ll find below the first 2 session recordings, those of the Opening Session that took place on Monday with our two keynote speakers, Benjamin Lang and Lars Peter Nissen, and the Keynote Address and Lightning Talks session of Tuesday morning. Other session recordings will be shared soon!
It was a rich edition – by the diversity of its content and panels, and all the conversations we were able to start. We would like to thank all the speakers and facilitators who put their trust in us this year, and our sponsors and the CartONG staff team and volunteers who have made this new edition possible.
It was a challenging edition, let's not kid ourselves, managing both an onsite event – with some speakers intervening from remote and some sessions being streamed live – as well as some sessions being fully online, was not easy. But overall, and despite a few hiccups, it went very well.
It was a friendly edition – what a joy to be back in person in Chambéry. We were so pleased in particular to see so many of you stay until the very end for the closing session and the group photo! What a lovely moment!
We hope to see you all in 2024 for the 9th edition of the forum! In the meantime, if you haven't yet done so, please take 5 minutes to fill out the satisfaction survey. Your feedback is very useful to make improvements between each edition. Have a lovely end of week.

Check out the IM Resource Portal
|
|
During the GeOnG, you had the opportunity to discover the Information Management resources that are produced by CartONG in support of the sector, in its capacity of Expertise & Resource Center. We also showcased the IM Resource Portal, hosted by ALNAP, which aims to provide easy access to a wide range of practical and strategic resources - in French and in English - on the topic of Information Management produced by and for aid organizations. The portal also includes a Learning Corner, with more practical resources, such as training materials and toolboxes, for field practitioners. If you've missed it, we invite you to discover them now by clicking on the image above.
All aid actors are greatly encouraged to submit their own IM resources for publication on the portal, as well as make suggestions for future blog posts and send all relevant details about their own upcoming IM events.
