In 2018, CartONG conducted two challenging Information Management (IM) needs assessment missions, during which we evaluated the IM policies, processes, practices and tools implemented by the Solidarités International’s teams in response to the refugee crisis in Bangladesh as well as the Syrian crisis.

In June 2016, following a second bidding process,  CartONG was one of the organizations (including iMMAP and MapAction) to be retained by the UNICEF West and Central Africa Regional Office, setting the framework to be deployed in the WCARO region to support UNICEF country operations in Information Management and Mapping.

 

Following a full bidding process, CartONG was one of the organizations (including iMMAP and MapAction) to be retained by the UNICEF West and Central Africa Regional Office, setting the framework to be deployed in the WCARO region to support UNICEF country operations in Information Management and Mapping.

It presents the core findings of the assessment carried out in January-February 2014 and the main recommendations and conclusions resulting from a peer review of these findings validated during a follow-up visit to Sulaymaniyah in March 2014

Since mid of August 2013, thousands of Syrian refugees have crossed the border to find safety and assistance in Kurdistan. Whereas they needed urgently life-saving assistance they also have an high demand of information.
