Contract type : Fixed-term contract (CDD)
Start date : As soon as possible in January, subject to the availability of the successful candidate. / Short term contract up to 31/12/2026
Location : Either at the association's head office in Chambéry, with the possibility of remote working up to 3 days a week, or 100% remote working in mainland France.
Salary : Based on salary scale and experience (see more)
Other advantages : Supplementary health insurance covered at 61% by CartONG; Provident scheme covered at 100%; The possibility of working remotely from abroad for a few weeks a year.

- You have experience in MEAL/program data management in the field of international solidarity, through which you have acquired a good knowledge of data management tools.
- You have 5 years of experience coordinating international solidarity projects.
- You like to understand the needs and constraints of international solidarity organizations and support them in their skills development.

The missions
You will be in charge of the initiative to strengthen the practices of French-speaking NGOs in data management programs (“GDoP” – project for the Structuring of the Associative Sector funded by AFD since 2019, find out more here) of CartONG and related projects to support international solidarity actors on data management (international, national or local NGOs).
Your main responsibilities will be as follows:
Projects management
- Establish professional relationships with partners, acquire an in-depth understanding of partners’ training needs and requirements.
- Coordinating, supervising and monitoring training project activities.
- Act as a communication link between partners and internal teams and ensure team cohesion around the project.
- To ensure that CartONG services are provided to partners in a timely and high-quality manner.
- Ensuring the administrative follow-up and reporting of projects, as well as their narrative and financial reporting if necessary.
Coordinating the CartONG resource centre
- Manage the IM portal resource and its learning corner.
- Coordinate the contributions of the technical teams that feed into these systems.
- Coordinate the promotion and dissemination of its content with the communications manager (mailing, newsletter, social networks, partners, etc.).
Implementation of MEAL/Data Management projects
You may be required to implement some of the activities of your projects or other projects of CartONG’s IM hub, such as:
- Provide face-to-face and/or remote support to CartONG’s partners
- Design and facilitate training courses
- Configure collection and analysis tools and ensure documentation for their use
- Ensure a technological watch and carry out research work
Other projects and activities of CartONG
- Contribute to the responses of calls for tenders and other consultations on the support/resource center component.
- Participate in activities supporting CartONG’s associative mission when possible and relevant, especially during events such as get-togethers, team days, internal trainings.
- Support volunteer projects and projects concerning the structure in general.
Profile required
Previous experience
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience, including 3 years in the humanitarian or development sector. At least one field experience in a developing country is mandatory.
Language skills
Excellent written and spoken French and English.
Skills
- You are proficient in project management and M&E processes: definition and monitoring of results, prioritization of tasks, ability to manage several projects and tasks simultaneously, supervision of the budget
- You have experience in data management processes (collection, cleaning, analysis, etc.)
- You have knowledge of concepts and methodologies related to cross-cutting approaches to data management, such as data culture or responsible management/data protection
- You have a good sense of pedagogy
- Curiosity, innovation and creativity are assets for this position
- You are recognized for your rigor, your sense of organization and your leadership.
