CartONG is proud to announce the launch of the IM Resource Portal on this day, June 9th, 2021. This new portal, hosted by ALNAP, aims to provide easy access to a wide range of practical and strategic resources – in French and in English – on the topic of Information Management produced by and for aid organisations.

The portal is available in both English and French, it is possible to switch the language of the portal interface by clicking on the “Select Language” button in the menu at the top.

Why developing such a portal?

Various humanitarian and development actors regularly share Information Management resources via their websites. However, until now, there was no unique platform – in the English and French-speaking worlds – to gather all of these resources in one place. By developing this new portal, CartONG hopes to fill a gap and, above all, to contribute to facilitating access to programme data management practical and strategic resources for aid organisations’ field and headquarters teams.

What types of content will I find on the portal?

Get involved!

Aid actors are greatly encouraged to submit their own IM resources for publication on the portal, as well as make suggestions for future blog posts and send all relevant details about their own upcoming IM events.

Users are also invited to sign up to the newsletter of the portal to get all the latest publications freshly and effortlessly delivered to their mail box.

We invite organisations that wish to join the conversation and would like to actively contribute to the IM Resource Portal to contact us by email, be it to collaborate on the creation of new resources, to transfer several resources at once to the portal or for more advanced forms of collaboration.

The development of the IM Resource Portal was funded by AFD (French Development Agency), as part of a three-year initiative to strengthen program data management within francophone CSOs.

It also benefited from the support of the H2H Fund of the H2H Network, which is supported by UK aid from the UK government, and who has (co-)financed a number of resources available on the portal.
