Contract type : CDD or consultancy

Start date : September 1, 2026. The contract offered will depend on the candidate's country of residence: a fixed-term contract until 31/05/2027 for a resident in France, a consultant contract for a candidate residing outside France.

Location : The offer is open internationally, subject to a stable internet connection and a place of residence located in a time zone compatible with our activities (± 2 hours compared to Paris time). Internationally, the position is carried out 100% remote ("home based"). For a resident in France, choice between 100% remote or a presence at the headquarters in Chambéry with occasional remote working time (3 days/week possible).

Salary : 32-hour/week contract. For a French salaried contract based on the salary scale and experience, [link to grid]. For consultancy, rate subject to discussion. (see more)

The missions

You will contribute, in coordination with the team leader of our partner Médecins Sans Frontières, to the development and implementation of training programs and learning initiatives related to geographic information systems.

You will supervise the implementation of existing training courses, and you will ensure the proper application/running of these training courses.

You will also bring new ideas on content, formats and methodological approaches to facilitate training.

Within CartONG you will be part of a “pool” of trainers that will allow you to exchange and capitalize on each other’s experiences.

More specifically, your responsibilities will be as follows, without this list being exhaustive:

  • Participate in the overall learning strategy to strengthen the GIS knowledge of the partner’s teams.
  • Participate in the logistical organization of existing training courses (link with the partner’s operational centres, link with trainees and trainers, etc.).
  • Lead educational brainstorming, in close collaboration with business experts to support them in the design or to collect information and feedback for content creation.
  • Develop educational content such as presentations, training materials, videos, quizzes and exercises, with support from technical teams as needed.
  • Be a force of proposal and advice in the pedagogical process: pedagogical common thread, activities and modalities, media, graphic intentions, tool constraints to be anticipated, etc.
  • Administer the functional part of the LnD hardware platform, community of practice, and knowledge management tools.
  • Participate in activities supporting CartONG’s associative mission when possible and relevant.

Profile required

Previous experience

3 to 5 years of experience in training design for an adult audience in the international solidarity sector, if possible, on technical tools.

Language skills

Excellent written and oral skills in French and English

Expected skills:

  • You master the concepts of engagement and learner motivations as well as the main theories of adult learning.
  • You have experience in facilitating, designing and managing training projects
  • You are proficient in the main tools and technologies of digital learning
  • Curiosity, innovation and creativity are assets for this position
  • You are recognized for your rigor, your sense of organization and your leadership.
  • Knowledge of geographic information systems would be a plus.
